MENTAL HEALTH AND CHALLENGING BEHAVIOUR

The Mental Health & Challenging Behaviour Special Interest Research Group seeks applications from young researchers in states in Central, Eastern, and South Eastern Europe for one travel grant to attend the World Congress. Presentations on research regarding emerging services and systems in Europe are encouraged.

The successful applicant will be reimbursed for economy airfare from Europe, accommodation (8 nights for up to $120 per night) during the Congress, and registration for the Congress upon submission of official receipts within a month of the Congress (to a maximum of $3,000).

Applicants must

  • be <35 years of age OR within 5 years of completing last degree
  • be resident of a state in Central, Eastern, or South Eastern Europe
  • be associated with an academic department in his/her home country (have one letter of support from a senior colleague from the academic department)
  • be members of IASSID and of the Mental Health & Challenging Behaviour SIRG at the time of application
  • have submitted an Abstract for oral or poster presentation at the World Congress by the stipulated deadline.
  • have demonstrate involvement in health or social care with people with intellectual disabilities (describe in one page letter; see application form)
  • ensure all other application documents are received by the stipulated deadline, including the application form.
